Planetarium

The Moody Planetarium at the Museum offers fun, educational shows that touch on the stars, galaxies, and constellations, along with exciting laser shows to popular music!

*Planetarium shows are not available some dates to the general public in spring & fall semesters due to Physics Astronomy Classes – Closed to the public on March 6 & 7, 2013.  Fall 2013 dates to be determined.

Schedule: Wednesday through Friday; Sunday

              Laser shows at 2 pm and planetarium shows at 3:30 pm. 

Saturday Schedule: Laser Shows at 11 am & 2 pm and planetarium show at 12:30 & 3:30 pm.

Tuesdays, as well as morning times on Wednesday through Friday, are available for school groups starting September 4th throughout the regular school semester hours.

May 1 – June 2: Laseropolis & Dinosaur Prophecy

Starting June 4th Tuesdays will be public show days.  Tuesdays will be public days until school resumes in August.  Anticipated summer schedule will be four shows daily except Mondays and Sundays.

June 4-30

11:00 am:  Laser Orion, learn about the stars and legend of Orion.

12:30 pm:  One World, One Sky, join Big Bird and Elmo as they learn that the sky is shared on both sides of the world.

2:00 pm:  Laser POP, music of Beach Boys and others with laser light show.

3:30 pm:  Earth’s Wild Ride, Imagine living in the year 2081 and seeing the earth from the moon.  Learn the differences and also find out about asteroids, volcanoes, and other items.

Prices:
$5 per adult
$3 per child, students with ID, & seniors (60+)
FREE: Children ages 5 & under; veterans

Tickets are on sale 30 minutes prior to showtime and end five minutes before showtime. First come, first served.
Must be present to purchase tickets.  Seating is limited.
